Sign-Ups

All of your guides and captains will be waiting for you at our sign-up station from 10:00am until 3:00pm on University Private in between the Morisset Pavillion (65 University) and the Perez Pavillion (50 University). We can't wait to meet you, we will be hard to miss with our bright green shirts!

This will be your first chance to come and pick up your pre-purchased 101 Week kit or to buy one if you have not done so already. Your kit will include a T-shirt which gets you into every event free of charge and includes transportation. It will cost you $85 and you will also receive all sorts of other surprises along with a complete up to date schedule with meeting times for each event. Don't forget to bring a piece of ID!

Sign-Ups and Intro to 101 Week

You will still be able to pick up or purchase your kits from 10:00am until 3:00pm at the sign-up station, and at 3:00pm we will all be meeting at the same spot where we will make our way to the beautiful Desmarais Building (Telfer's home!) for ice breakers and introductions.

Cabin Party

At night, every single faculty will be heading to Camp Fortune ski resort and lodge for one big party! There will be live bands, a barbeque, dancing, and every single 101er and guide from the University of Ottawa.

Beach Day

We will be headed to Mooney's Bay Beach for a day of sun and sand ? don't forget your bathing suits and towels, as well as your competitive spirit since we will be running a variety of games and sports. There will definitely be something for everyone! After all of the activities, feel free to wind down and swim or just relax and catch some rays before we head back to campus.

Pub Night

At night, we're off to the Cage aux Sports restaurant in Hull, Quebec where we will be having an evening full of music, food, and beverages. There will be a rock-band competition, various contests, a dance-off and more! Sit down and chat with your fellow business students, dance the night away ? or both! It's bound to be a great night either way.

Every first year at the Telfer School of Management will be attending their mandatory orientation sessions in the morning where you will be learning about the faculty as well as meeting some of your professors, your student council, and other important players at Telfer. Shinerama

In the afternoon, it's time to take a couple of hours to help raise money for charity and have a great time doing it! Shinerama is a nationwide charity that gives you the chance to change another person's life by raising money for Cystic Fibrosis research. The entire University participates in this day so we encourage all of you to take part in this national fight against CF. We will be heading out to our designated spot in Downtown Ottawa and it's up to us to find out any and all ways to receive donations!

Club Night

During the evening, we will be headed to one of the most popular clubs for University of Ottawa students across the provincial border ? Le Volt Night Club in Hull, Quebec. Decked out with a huge dance floor and two fully stocked bars on the inside, this club also boasts an amazing rooftop patio complete with another bar as well as a second DJ! This night is sure to be one to remember.

Club's Day

Get ready for your first day of classes! While you will be travelling from class to class, Telfer will be putting on a Club's Day outside of the 90U residence from 11:00am until 4:00pm so stop by and check out what the School of Management has to offer. Telfer is home to a variety of amazing student run clubs and associations and all of their executive members will be manning information and sign-up tables for you to visit all day. Whether you enjoy sports, dancing, arts, marketing, accounting ? pretty much anything you can imagine ? there is a club for you!

Boat Cruise

After your first day of classes we will be heading to Gatineau, Quebec for the greatly anticipated Country Club Boat Cruise! Dress in your fanciest country club attire ? argyle, plaid, sweater vests, skirts, and visors ? because this is an exclusive management tour of the entire river. Once we're on the boat, get ready to let loose and dance the night away, country clubbers are indeed sophisticated but we do know how to party.

Comedy Night

After your second day of classes, you'll be more than ready to sit down and enjoy a night of Comedy. Back by popular demand, Ottawa's Absolute Comedy will be sending hilarious comedians to perform stand-up routines at the University of Ottawa. Even though you'll be sitting, don't expect a calm and relaxing night, these comedians will have you laughing so hard your abs will be sore for the rest of the week. This is a show that should not be missed, because you never know what celebrity will make an appearance.

Telfer Country Club Night

Finally Friday night! You're in for a treat because we will be making our way to the Château Cartier Golf Club in Hull, Quebec home of the Telfer School's very own prestigious country club. This will be a semi-formal affair that with hors-d'oeuvres and beverages available for all. Stay inside to chat and dance and be sure to visit the outside patio to take in the fresh air and sites! During the night a special 101 week re-cap video will be presented as well as the coveted 101er and partier of the week awards ? you will definitely not want to miss it. This night is guaranteed to be the best night so far, a great way to cap off an amazing week.

Fedstock Closing Concert

Get ready to end off 101 Week with a BANG! Fedstock, the biggest concert of the year, will be taking place and wrapping up the week with some very big names performing at an outdoor venue for all of the University of Ottawa. This will be one of the best concerts you will ever see, and you will be partying along with the rest of the University's 101ers and guides until the break of dawn. There will be many activities to take part in all over the venue and of course a huge BBQ for when you get hungry from so much rocking out.
